I will come to your home or venue, and provided we have had a trial beforehand (see Trial page) it will take about an hour (allowing for the bride to go off and check flowers, eat something, have photos taken etc).

I generally advise the bridal party to have their hair done first if possible, but I’m always able to work around hairdressers if need be. It’s also best if the bride is made up first and comes back for touchups after I’ve finished the rest of the bridal party, rather than have a last minute panic.

I always aim to be out of the way at least half an hour before the cars arrive (more if possible!), but I’ve had my fair share of dress lacing, shoe sandpapering and emergency hairfixing too!

It’s a real privilege to be a part of someone’s wedding day and I’m proud to say I’ve only ever had positive feedback, so relax and let me take care of this essential part of your day.

I will usually come to your home for the trial, which will take around 2 hours.

We will discuss what you want and try out different looks until you are completely happy.

This will take into account the style of your wedding as well as the colours and shades that suit you. Obviously a very traditional church wedding has a different look and feel to a modern registry office or civil ceremony where the bride may be wearing a trouser suit or a cocktail dress.

If you are getting married on an exotic beach somewhere (please take me with you!), your trial will be more like a makeup lesson to show you how to achieve the look yourself.

Above all, remember it’s your big day and you can have whatever you want!

All the products used will be carefully recorded and all details agreed to ensure no last minute panics on the day of the wedding. A deposit must then be paid to secure your wedding date.

This could be somebody else’s wedding (it isn’t just the bride who needs to look fabulous!), a day at the races or a special night out.

You’ve spent ages choosing the outfit and having your hair done so why not complete the look with professional makeup?

There are so many new products on the market (and let’s face it, a lot of hype too), it can be a daunting experience buying makeup. How many of us have been seduced by a glossy ad campaign only to buy the product and leave it in a cupboard while we go on using our old favourites?

I will advise you on the right formulations for your skin type and the right shades for your colouring. We will try out different looks for daytime, evenings or special occasions. The lesson will last around 2 hours and you will pick up lots of handy hints and tips to apply your own makeup beautifully in future.

If you feel more comfortable having a group lesson, get a few of your friends together and have a girly night in where you all get to play with makeup – it’s just like being 10 years old again! And don’t worry, I’m not selling anything but I can get certain products at a discount.
